It's completely different Mint.
Alot of Horns is in some of the tracks But I gotta hear the whole CD before I give an whole opinion on it. Track 11 "Moan" sounds like some "old school" R.Kelly a lil bit. I notice that their isn't any rock songs on here. I'm officially going to go get this CD when it drops Cause there is alot of hot joints on this boi! This is obviously the japanese version that was released april 1
for 25 to 32 bucks. I will buy the cd but i must admit it's not what i was expecting. Did stokley and the boys bump their damn head? I like a few of the tracks right off hand but why do they feel the need to conform to the current market when their hardcore fans appreciated them for being themselves. Sorry but as a die hard mint fan i have to call it as i see it. This cd gives new meaning to the old atlantic starr album as the band turns. Don't laugh at my funk

I think that they're showing their versatility and telling everybody that they ain't old, and can make the same kind of music that's on mainstream radio. They have upgraded their Lyrics on this album. So I consider that this is a must have CD.

They have upgraded their Lyrics on this album. So I consider that this is a must have CD. I understand that they want to update their sound and they do that with the lead single but when 70% of the album is that way. It's like why. Are they priming themselves for an appearance on 106 & park? I could have understood mint going this route 10 years ago during blackstreet's no diggity era but even blackstreet wouldn't be successful doing this now. Their last cd flopped in 2003. Why do this now? It's like they are trying to gain an audience that aren't tuned into them anyway and it's highly unlikely that they will. I saw these guys last year in concert and yes there have some fans in their late 20's but they appreciate those guys for being mint condition not mint condition meets hip hop. Chaka Khan recent album is successful because she's being chaka and not mixing her sound with timbaland beats. I like the ballads on e-life but the other stuff is going to have to grow on me. Don't laugh at my funk

After digesting the cd, I'd say that I really like it. I'm baised though, I admit it.
I am surprised that there is NOT a single rock joint though. Damn.....

Yeah man i was disappointed we didn't get that mint rock jam.
I was thinking the queen of come here go away would be it. Right now my favorite tracks are golddigger, nothing left 2 say, queen of come here go away, and gratitude. Don't laugh at my funk

The snippets sound like Mint has watered down their sound. There's no funk, jazz or rock on this album ,

No Mint has NOT watered sound. They are just experimenting the musicial sound that's out today in R&B/Hip Hop. Yeah there aren't no Rock tracks on here maybe because when Livin' the Luxury Brown came out so many people was blasting them for having Rock tracks on that album. So they're giving them what they want, More R&B/Hip Hop and no Rock tracks. That's what they asked for, I hope that this album is in their Top 5. They Jazzed it up a little bit on the end of "Wish I Could I Love You (Pimp Juice)" This is up there with From the Mint Factory which I consider their best album by far, because you can hear some influence in the songs like they did on that album. This one is just more influential with the sound that is out today, like I said in the beginning. Just enjoy the good music. Also, they gave you a 70's style feel on some of the songs with the horns on it.

Still trying to absorb it. Hopefully this experiment from mint
ends with E-Life. Look forward to the band touring anyway and playing most of the old stuff. Don't laugh at my funk
