My responce was to Ifsixwuz9 because she found it odd that Remy was carrying that kind of money around.. and i tried to explain to him/her the mentality of some of these rappers (that walking around with that kind of money is normal to them) and if she thought that 3000.00 is odd take a look at this fool with a million dollars in his hotel room... But see Ottie got what I what saying. And like she said $50 or $50 millon, if your're that pressed over it then protect it better than leaving it where it can be easily stolen from right under you nose, and then shoot somebody over it. P.S. -- I'm female too so get it straight, bub. [Edited 3/31/08 8:39am] I did say him/her ... now i know

Remy Ma Urges Fans To Pen Letters To Judge
written by Thomas A. Harden Monday - March 31, 2008 Just days after being found guilty on four counts of assault, Bronx-bred rapper Remy Ma has turned to fans in hopes that their support will help shorten the 25 year sentence she faces next month. According to New York's Daily News, over the weekend the Grammy nominated rapper's MySpace page posted a message of endorsement aimed directly at her core fan base, pleading for admirers to send nice letters about her in hopes of receiving a reduced sentence. "Please write letters about how Remy and her music has positively affected you, influenced you, inspired you, etc... in hopes that the judge will be lenient in Remy's upcoming sentencing," the note read. On Thursday March 27, a Manhattan jury convicted Remy (born Reminisce Smith) of first-degree assault and weapons charges for shooting her former friend in the abdomen last July in a beef over the rapper missing $3,000. The MySpace message concluded "Thank you for all your support." Letters are asked to be sent to lettersforremy@gmail.com. Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Rena Uviller is set to hand the embattled rapper a sentence on April 23. Uviller denied Remy's attorney, Ivan Fisher's request for Remy to spend the remaining days, until the sentencing, at home with her son. Fisher and his defense team plan to appeal the assault charges and are optimistic that it will go to trail and Remy will be acquitted. Stay tuned to SOHH as more details develop. WIFE SENTENCE REMY MA TO WED BEHIND BARS April 4, 2008 -- Remy Ma is about to become a real ball and chain! The jailbird rapper, who shot her friend in an argument over money, plans to make the most of her incarceration - she'll marry her fiancé at Rikers. The two had originally planned to wed on a yacht, but all that changed after she was convicted of felony assault March 27. "They're much in love," Remy's defense lawyer, Ivan Fisher, told The Post yesterday of Ma and her fiancé, rapper Papoose. "They're very committed to each other, and they had intended to marry one way or another." Remy may be sent to the maximum-security Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women for up to 25 years when she is sentenced on April 23 for shooting a friend over a $3,000 dispute last July. Rikers has chapels in every housing unit and handles some 200 weddings a year. "We offer a chaplain to officiate and provide the opportunity to meet," said Stephen Morello, a spokesman for the Correction Department, who didn't know when the couple would get their marriage license. Remy and Papoose will only be allowed two guests, and their rings cannot have any protruding gems. Rikers allows the couple to wear anything they want for the wedding, as long as it passes through security. But Papoose, whose real name is Shamele Mackie, and Remy, whose real name is Remy Smith, won't get to consummate their marriage for a while. Rikers has no conjugal-visit facilities. Bedford Hills Prison does - but new inmates have to wait seven months before they can apply for an appointment, a spokeswoman said. http://www.nypost.com/sev...104925.htm
