I have three observations:

1) Why in this day in age of debit cards and credit cards would you carry $3,000..

Just odd.

I've NEVER bought into the "plastic" theory. I always.....ALWAYS carry cash.

I understand, I get in moods where I sometimes carry only cash too, but that's only because I'm too lazy and too cheap to run up a bunch of ATM fees if I have a busy week of running around. But for the most part where I live all our daily life transactions have been electronic for about 15-20 years, so I couldn't inagine not going to a restaurant and not having them debit everything from my my regular bank account. Then you have a nice receipt and can write that shit off with your taxes.

Granted, I also understand people who live waaay larger than I do, and need to carry large amounts of cash on them...but that's usually for big corporate trips, productions, and company sponsored social outings. To just randomly carry around 3 grand in your purse in the freaking meatpacking distri just to go to a party? And to not have your purse by you or a TRUSTED and ACCOUNTABLE colleaugue at ALL times. Sorry, but reeks of stupid. Remy please ....heffa, you are NOT in some small provincial town. You are in New York. If you're traveling in a different city I really understand needing to have cash on the ready, but come on. When I cross the pond to New York, I keep a little bit of cash, expense my business stuff to credit, and nearly everything else I pay for in an easily tracable way with an Amex cash card. You can be at a mom&pop grocery store on 125th in Harlem at 2am, and trust me, they take your cash card with no problem lol. If the card is lost or stolen you can put a halt on it immediately, be reimbursed for fraudulent charges, ect... whereas as with cash if you get ripped off, once it's gone... too bad shrug

Well apparently 3000 US Dollars is a big enough deal to some, so much so that they would shoot someone in the stomach twice if it went missing.

Look, I'm not here to negate what amount of money is a big deal or not. However I still think only an idiot leaves money unattended in a purse... or keeps a million dollars stacked unprotected in a hotel nighstand and not stored properly in a safe. There's nothing intelligent whatsoever about what I saw in that video. More importantly, I'm speaking more to the principle of one rationally protecting what is important to them, while not blasting other people in their guts in the process confused . There is a safe, logical and rational way for a person to protect their property whether it concerns 50 bucks, or 50 million. It simply goes back to the old school adage that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...or certainly at least worth not possibly missing your child grow up because of some silly ass altercation over PAPER... a paper which doesn't remotely measure up to other currencies in the current global market AT THAT. smoker

Dude what are you going on about... My responce was to Ifsixwuz9 because she found it odd that Remy was carrying that kind of money around.. and i tried to explain to him/her the mentality of some of these rappers (that walking around with that kind of money is normal to them) and if she thought that 3000.00 is odd take a look at this fool with a million dollars in his hotel room...

My bad. I don't mean to to make it as if I'm nitpicking. But I'm so sick of these stories with people getting themselves into all manner of trouble over money. I actually misunderstood your post with Floyd the Fool as being "pro"-carry -around-large-amounts-of-dough-without-worry...and I only wanted to point out that's not sensible...and I STILL DO...however your post was intended

thanks. glad you didn't take my question personal or anything. I was just misinterpreting the laugh. well heck if he hasn't killed anyone, he certainly has been at all the right places at the right time-- the big trample party long ago, biggie and tupac, the club shit, oh I can go on and on and on. and he still wears fly suits. damn mafia movies taught him well.

So don't you think it's just bizarre that this Remy Ma person was carying this amount of cash with her, but put herself in a position that her purse was not in her posession at all times and then accuses her buddy of stealing from her lol

I don't find it odd, considering that she's a semi famous rapper, and they love to flash cash, you'd be surprise how many establish rappers who don't have credit cards... my best friend was a mgr in the Loews Hotel in Miami and so many of then always paid with cash... he was like damn can't they get a secured card or something,, but they just like to floss especially the ones who really don't have it like that (money)

Yeah well where I'm from you don't carry that much cash on you and then have your purse out of your possession where the $$ could be stolen -- famous or not.

But see Ottie got what I what saying. And like she said $50 or $50 millon, if you're that pressed over it then protect it better than leaving it where it can be easily stolen from right under your nose, and then shoot somebody over it. lol
