Miley Cyrus rules the world

I saw her last night, at RodeoHouston (note to Prince: you screwed up by declining our invitation!). WOW - great show! Seriously.

There were 73,459 people there - the most EVER in Reliant Stadium. More than the Super Bowl. And whose record did she break?

Her show from last year.

Anyway, I give credit to the girl. She has a very good voice - phenomenal for age 15, and better than most adults you'll hear on the radio. Her songs are infectious. She truly appears to be having fun.

The first half of the show was her as Hannah Montana. Of course, the girls went nuts. It's cool hearing 73,000 kids scream.

The second half was her as Miley Cyrus. Obviously, the plan is the expose her as something else besides a Disney TV star. It's working.

On a side note, my daughter got to meet her. And Billy Ray Cyrus (her dad, in case you didn't know). She said they were both very, very nice. My daughter gave Miley her phone number. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if there was a message on our phone this afternoon.

Rock on, Miley!

The plan to expose Miley Cyrus as someone other than Hannah Montana is working. My daughter understands that Hannah Montana is the character on the show and Mily Cyrus is a singer/actress. I am glad that my daughter is only into watching the show and hearing the songs on the radio.

A co-worker made the drive to Houston for the show. From where I live, that is six hours. He purchased the tickets on line for a few hundred more than the actual price.

I take offence to the term 'world'. You try to substitute 'US' as the 'world'.

It's SO patriotic. rolleyes

Here in Holland she aint even on the tele. And I hope we keep it that way, thank you. Imagine her in Indonesia (no) or China (no).

The US is not the world.

End.

hmph!

I mean, we got K3; three girls from Belgium that sing alot of songs and do alot of tv shows, but it is all in sweet Low Lands proportions. Small girsl go bonkers over them and they also have a tv show.

But you know, we got Sesame St too. And other stuff. Like playing outside on the street.

I take offense at your misspelling of "offense".

Of course, I said this is all in jest. Really. Abruti.

I am the parent of a tween, and this is good stuff. Especially if your tween started off with Britney Spears, then Christina Aguliera, then Lindsay Lohan, then Hilary Duff.

NONE of those turned out to be role models. But hopefully, Miley Cyrus will. She seems grounded, and her dad knows the score.
