The show is great!!! Bette, the Harlettes v 13.0, the Ceasar Salad Girls extra tomotoes but as little dressing as possible, and her band. Through in Toni Basil for choeregraphy and staging and the show is AMAZING! The show actully begins with the house lights still up and the video screen with a billboard of Bette in the middle of the desert, a donkey just aimlessly walking up and down the street and a tornado. Than up pops a pile of luggage, the Harlettes and the Divine Miss M herself. Her voice is great, her presence is warm and inviting and she doesn't do as much dancing as in the past but she keeps up. The show opened with a very reduced Big Noise, and straigt into the self deprecating the ShowGirl Must Go On. Miss M opens the shows the jokes range from digs on "It's really tiring when you do your own singing" to "THere are no French Canadian circus performers on this stage tonight." Cracks some jokes about throwing Christians to the Lions and Gays being like Visa, everywhere you wanna go. After Miss M, Delores Delargo the toast of Chicago tries out for American Idol and goes to perform in Vegas at Sunken du SoLowe. Bette comes out and does a few songs and gets a standing ovation and returns with an enocore performance of Sophie Tucker the worlds oldest showgirl and the world's largest headdress. A new batch of Sophie jokes and some classics are in there. After Soph leaves Bette comes out again for a couple more encores and the show is done.
It's Bette it's amazing the song choice totally fits for the venue and it's hard to belive that at 62 she can still do a show that demanding and not even look tired. She said Cher doesn't know what she is getting into! If you love Bette this show is for you... if you've never seen Bette this show is for you... It's Divine!!! She truely is the People's Diva!!
