I don't hate it, but I never really warmed up to it. I should give it another listen soon. I think it's 100x better than 20 Y.O., but the overwhelming number of crappy songs on that album make the good/decent ones really stand out.

You know, I think I'll cheat and add "Put Your Hands On."

Janet Jackson
"The Magic Is Working"

Dream Street
"Pretty Boy"
**there's more from these two albums
but I don't know em well enough
to have favorites...
there's one she performed on
AB... and I like thatone too
I can never remember the name LOL

Control
"He Doesn't Even Know I'm Alive"
"Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun)"
"The Pleasure Principle" (possibly favorite dance video of all time)

Rhythm Nation
"Come Back To Me"
"Someday Is Tonight"
"Livin In A World (They Didn't Make)"

janet.
"New Agenda"
"Whoops Now" *hides*
"That's The Way Love Goes"

the other albums I halfass got into
so I'll just mention faves I can think of

there was a teddy riley remix of
I think "Go Deep" from The Velvet Rope
that I was crazy about...
but only heard it a handful of times...

I like a good bit of the Damita Jo album
"Like You Don't Love Me"
"Just A Little While"
"Strabverry Bounce"

I like the "comef***me" song from All For You
um... "Would You Mind" I think is the name LOL
"Son of A Gun (Remix)" w/Missy of course

there's more... but I hadn't really
been a big Janet fan since the janet. album

Listening again yesterday, the album is better than I remembered. Side A loses a great deal of momentum after the outstanding opener (although "Pretty Boy" isn't bad). OTOH, the last four songs are pretty good.

It's brilliant. I think he used every emoticon there is! Awesome! I actually think DS isn't too bad. I always thought it would be worst than JJ, but it's a lot better! Not up there with "Control" or anything but it's good and up there with the dance pop of the time.

Really? I just bought JJ on vinyl and it does little for me. Seems like the songs run out of steam really early and they end with her repeating the chorus nine million times!
