I’m not mad at Madonna. She does the best with what she has. Works just as hard as anybody if not harder and surrounds herself with the best. If you've got limited vocal skills you've got to make up for it somehow. After a certain age or a few decades you need to be able to do something else besides recreate your video with a team of dancers and choreography isn’t just about pop-locking and vogueing. Even her attempts at playing guitar, while some find it laughable I still think it was a very brave thing to do knowing she would be criticized and mocked for it. It brings a slightly new element to her performances and the funny thing is for years I wanted Janet to learn to play guitar so she could surprise people and do something different (an acoustic version of Let’s Wait Awhile or Come Back To Me). But instead it was Madge who surprised me with it.

Well, she was a member of the Alvin Ailey School of Dance so that speaks volumes to me.
