I have to agree with Aud on that one. Buddy was rockin' but he was getting some weird overtones during his solo. I noticed he played the guitar with bass strings on the bottom and the treble on the top.

Anyone ever heard the version of "Them Changes" with Buddy and P back in 93 or 94?

That was a "style over substance" performance. cool
Sounded as if he was playing in the wrong key at times also.

Btw, I also play left-handed/upside down.
(back asswards smile )

Haven't heard the Buddy/P colab.

I don't know of any of u heard of this but this an interview with Buddy Miles with Soul-Patrol from 2006. I'm getting a history lesson listening to this and I feel u should too.

Buddy talks about some of everybody that he either worked with or influenced.

Thanks to Soul-Patrol and slyandthefamilystone.net for the links.

Thanks for posting that. The Billy Cox info was pretty intense. Didn't know they had a falling out. The Sly and Miles stories were interesting. Nice to hear that Buddy also thought highly of P.

He (and the B.O.G) really deserve a spot in the R.R.H.O.F.
