It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

This is par for the course with the RRHOF inductors, lately. Someone with a tangential (or very recent) connection who will say "yes" when asked gets to do it.

It doesn't make sense except that they have to get some other big or current names into the mix.
"Try to remember how you used to feel about me
and think about how you're treating me now.
Then try to reconcile them, if you can.
But you don't even remember, do you?"

I got no problem with JT inducting Madonna into the Hall of Fame. This will be the third time he's done it, too.

He inducted Michael Jackson when he was in Nsync

He inducted the O'Jays which really didn't go over too well with Eddie and the boys.

He's not being inducted. All he's doing is making a speech about how great Madonna is. What the hell is so wrong with that???

Perhaps because Madonna deserves to be inducted by someone other than a complete ass-clown?

CORRECTION: Blame the R&RHOF committee. It was their idea to have Justin induct them.

Madonna could've had Britney if she didn't help ruining that girl's career with that kiss of death!

shrug

While I do feel that Timberlake is beneath her, I'm not sure who I'd have picked to induct her. I love Bowie an insane amount, but I'm not upset that Madge induced him into the R&RHOF.

The thing is, Madonna will continue to do her thing until she can no longer do it; unlike many of the stars of her day, she is not going to self-destruct. She's going to be 50 in August, and she's yet to crumble and collapse the way her detractors have wanted her to for the past 25 years.

I really doubt Madonna gives half of a shit what the Michael Jackson fans want her to do; truthfully, she's always been too self absorbed and self aware to play the victim; she's Madonna. She knows what she wants, and she goes after it. If you don't like it, too bad. That's what I've always admired about Madge. She's always been in charge of her destiny; no blaming Seymour Stein, Carlos Leon, Tommy Mottola, or Sean Penn. She could play the innocent victim, but instead, she exerts herself. More power to her. I'd take 10 new Madonna albums over a re-release of "Like a Virgin" with Gwen, 50 Cent, and Beyonce.

Congrats on the induction...

I think Gwen Stefani or Christina Aguilera would have been good choices. In the end, though,I don't really care. The RRHOF has a long history of picking inappropriate people to induct the artists.Remember in 1999 when they chose the raunchy Lil Kim to induct Earth Wind and Fire?! nuts

I wonder, how did Bowie feel about this? I know he didn't attend the ceremony. Was he pleased (or pissed) with Madonna inducting him?

Excatly. It's amazing how so many of Madonna's peers have self-destructed while she is still going strong. She deserves alot of praise for that alone.

I've always admired her "I-don't-give-a-fuck" attitude too nod This strong, defiant attitude is why she's been able to withstand so much criticism all these years.

Madonna revealed the reason why it's Justin:

"It was Justin who offered and kind of surprised me, when we were shooting the video -- he said he wanted to be the person to induct me, so to speak, so I said, 'Okay,' " said Madonna, who added how the rest of the induction evening will unfold is up in the air.
"It's supposed to be a surprise for me -- somebody sings one of my songs," she said before adding, "Yikes! No, I'm just kidding. I don't know."

But you can bet his management told him it would be a good idea, so that the former pagent/mickey mouse club kid could look more "down" with R&B. I'm glad Eddie stated publicly how pissed he was the that poser jerk off inducted them into the hall of fame (I'm paraphrasing of coarse)

You ain't said nothin' but a word....Chic got passed over the induction, while "Like A Virgin" which Nile Rogers produced propelled her to super-stardom.... I'm majorly annoyed at that.

I think it's a shame that Madonna isn't performing at the ceremony. This would have been a great way to introduce her new single to the world!! Or she could have done a three-song medley...starting with an early hit ("Like A Virgin") then doing a song from the late 80s ("Express Yourself"),then closing with a loud, rockin' version of "Ray Of Light".
