Let's see what happens in 3 weeks. Either it will be resolved or Michael will just let it go

I hope he does. It would be in his best interest

I think he just doesn't want it anymore, since it wouldn't be hard for him to come up with $25 million from somewhere.

If that's the case, though, I wish he'd just put it up for sale (or auction) himself. Then at least his intentions would have been clear and there wouldn't be so much speculation about.

Oh, and to the person, who said Michael has already "disappeared", the man hasn't made an album in 7 years or something, but when he rereleases a 25 yo record it goes to the top 5 worldwide. Yeah, he's certainly completely off the radar at this point. neutral

Yeah I don't think Michael cares about Neverland anymore either, but foreclosure is never a good thing though so I don't understand why he didn't just sell it since it's clear that he has no interest in living there anymore. I mean he even said in that Geraldo interview he did during the trial that he no longer wanted to live there,so i'm just not understanding why it has to come down to this.

Well he has three weeks to decide but I would feel kinda bad if he no longer owned Neverland. I don't know, it's just so much apart of his persona but maybe it's time he did away with it. The place is too tainted.

Exactly. His financial problems are an embarassment. He's the type of artist who could go on tour for just a few months and easily make millions of dollars. He could easily get one of those Celine Dion/Vegas deals and make over $100 million a year.If only he would stop being so lazy.

What do you do to a house you haven't resided in since 2005? Either sell it or make it a tourist attraction.

I'm surprised he hasn't done neither.

With the success of Thriller 25, he should get some money, so let´s see what happens, what he´s gonna do.

Could you please, guys, lay off the stupid paedo comments? Thank you.

We all knew this moment was coming so it's hardly a surprise. Man, Michael really is a mess.

New York City should buy some of those rides and include them in the new Coney Island design that is upcoming. That would pull in all sorts of revenue. Otherwise, I'd love to participate in that auction, but what the Hell am I gonna do with a Merry-Go-Round or a Choo-Choo Train?

Regarding Michael's personal belongings: I'm sure he's long since removed anything of personal value from that house. Mike may appear to be crazy, but he's far from stupid. That man is shrewd, and I'm sure HE knows exactly what he's doing. He may never have another top-seller (although I wouldn't write that off yet either), but he'll always maintain a comfortable amount of money.

HOLY SH*T, it really seems that Michael has given up his (until the raid) beloved former home.

Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch is set be sold at auction on March 19.
Jackson received word Monday from Financial Title Company, the trustee, that unless he pays off $24,525,906.61 by that date, a public auction will go forward in Santa Barbara, Calif., in front of the county courthouse.

It's official sad

Why be sad and make a poo-poo face about it? If he didn't have the desire or wearwithall to hold onto it then that simply means it was time for him to move on, just as it is for everyday people who lose houses. hopefully the land and belongings will be put to good use.

I live in Santa Barbara, the sad part of this story is that when he left, he left owing his staff money, and he also left all of his animals to fend for themselves. The veternarian on staff was the one that found homes for all of the abandoned animals. sad

Well, that's obviously what's happened. $25 million isn't that much money to come up with for someone with as many assets are Michael Jackson (most obviously the Sony/ATV catalogue), so if he really wanted to save the property, presumably he and his advisers would have organised his finances in such a way that he could.

I have a hard time believing that this was totally against his wishes, all things considered, is all.

If you're a 6-year-old child, that would be cool. If you're a 36-year-old man, it's fucking retarded.

Well, some people buy 10 Ferraris, some people buy a theme park.... so whatever floats your boat! We can't afford either, so who are we to judge? rolleyes

I don't feel sorry for Michael at all, and it's not for what you might think. It pisses me off when people talk about him being "broke" or "homeless". Broke to Michael Jackson means he's worth $10 million dollars instead of $10 billion, and homeless means he has 2 acres instead of 2,000 acres, but that's still more than that most people have.
