Billy Joel to Induct John Mellencamp into RnR Hall of Fame The day is approaching for the LONG OVERDUE induction of John Mellencamp, who 3 times was on the Ballot but didnt get enough votes, finally Mr. Mellencamp will be inducted, and doing the honor will be Billy Joel a good friend. Back in 1999 Joel asked Mellencamp to induct him , but Mellencamp had to opt out due to touring schedule, and Ray Charles did the honor for Billy Joel. As i said before John Mellencamp is one of the few Hall inductees that can encompass all forms of music in his work, Dance,Rb,Rock,Pop,Folk,Blues all have been on his records and in his music "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |
