I have a feeling that someone was listening 2 "Burn Rubber" when the bass line 4 "My Perogative" was created.

One of their better ballads, I'd say! I think I'd like IV a lot more if it were sequenced better. There aren't 2 uptempo tracks in a row anywhere on the record, so the rush and potential momentum that come with songs like "Early in the Morning" and "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" are lost after they are followed by more mellow ballads.

I Dig this cut, the theme song from the television show 'Cheers' reminds me of this...I know weird 'huh. This album is on point as a whole. phunkdaddy mentions two main staples from this album that are part of my Gapper diet. "I Can't Get Over You...that trumpet sets it off, this groove was perfect for some serious griiind time back in the 80's. And the other Lonely Like Me was another serious mid tempo groove

"You don't know me and..., I don't know you but...
Let's get together, the night is young, and were so free..
When I first looked in your eyes.. I could tell that you were, lone-ly like me
Two people wondering, looking, searching for a fan-tasy.."

Talkin' Back is a page straight out of The Book of Parliament.

horns For all you Gapper's, and you finger snapper's, you toe tapper's, and you love lacker's...from the G-A-P.
