Ok y'all, we haven't had a survivor-style vote-fest in bit, so I figured I'd start one. This time, y'all are voting for your favorite 70's (NOTE: only the 70s'. This means that only the bands' seventies catalogs are taken into consideration when voting. So if a band started in the sixties and/or continued recording in the eighties and beyond, judge them only based on what they released in the seventies).

Write in vote for The Detroit Emeralds. IMO they were as good as any of the Motown acts, just not distributed as well.

This is bogus without Blue Magic or the Delfonics.

You're right, Blue Magic would've fit in perfectly, and so would the Delfonics. There are a whole bunch of acts that could (some might say 'SHOULD') have been included, BUT this time I decided to stick to just ten groups. Y'all will just have to deal with these picks...
