Dating back to 2002 the Girls have released 17 singles all of which have hit the Top 10 in the UK, this chart accomplishment was never matched in America at all, though all had their runs of consistency, none did it out of the gate. And dont just think "oh thats the UK", the UK has more competition since they get our music and all countries around them and than only have one chart to fight for.

Its euro-pop so if you dont like stuff from that genre you will hate it. Though they are a little more than the average "disposable" pop group , they have a more edgier sound, its nothing like a Spice Girls "every girl has a character gimmick" thing going on. their new single "Cant speak French" is set to be released in a few weeks.
some other unique things besides the fact of staying relevant in the POP market for that long that consistently, their is no real lead vocalist. Which is strange since every girl group has a leader, i mean Beyonce, Diana Ross, Nicole Scherzinger etc all girl groups have leads. All the Girls share the songs on and off, none ever taking a song 100% for their own. The unique thing that the vocal producer has done with the group is that they all sing the song themselves as lead and than the tracks are worked together so well that you often will not notice a change in lead vocals with maybe the exception of Nadine who has the heaviest accent in the group. Also an accomplishment is the fact that the UK still has actual singles (rememeber them) so sales are always the factor in getting them into the top 10.

Also considering that PRINCE lifted half of "Could it be Magic" from Barry Manilow for his Planet Earth song, its all judgement calls. Of course this chart record is impressive, but the most impressive one is the one that will NEVER be broken (and if anyone says they think it will be, they are smoking) its Elton John's record of having at least one top 40 single every year for 30 years (1970-1999), and thats on the Hot 100 singles chart, that my friends will never ever be broken or come close too.
