exactlty their point. because she still doesn't get proper credit for it. if you noticed she's been using this particular quote told to her for the last few projects: "people wouldn't think i write my own songs just because i'm not sitting in front of a piano or strumming a guitar"

i agree. hopefully DJ Toomp's track(s) will be refreshing. And even more impressive was the fact that duff and amerie took total control on the records, Amerie wrote all her tracks, did all the vocal arrangements and executive produced the final mixes, Hilary actually wrote and co-wrote all but one track on the record, executive produced and the even better thing was the varied producers she had, it was euro-pop based but the album wasnt really a euro-dance record, they both pulled off great fresh sounding records. Thats the fresh little switch that Mariah needs, hopefully its a step in that direction "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

you KNOW the gossip bloggers are going to start calling it "FAT CHICK" in a matter of days. and she'll have no one to blame but herself for walking right into it. poor Mimoo.

I hate the album title with a passion! She looks pretty on the cover in terms of her hair and makeup, but the rest is just ughhhh like she's trying too hard. I will still the give the album a chance. Every time mariah comes back with an album, I always feel like I will hate it cause I liked the last one, but am usually proven wrong. I don't think it'll be any different this time.

I really like Mariah's cover - the best she's done in years - she looks half human.
Not over enthused about janet's or the project. I just feel this album sounds like a rush job. Even if they've brought in the best songs and producers, it wont have the authenticity of Janet records of old. They were insular projects with Jam & Lewis, this is just a modern R&B record designed simply to be a hit and rescue her career. Im never big into Mariah's music so not fussed in that area, but of the producers listed, only Danja interests me.

"Ms. Mariah is on fire," Island Def Jam chairman Antonio "L.A." Reid says. "I don't want to hype the record, but she writes all her own songs. Of her producers, the most interesting to me is DJ Toomp, but she's also working with Stargate, Scott Storch, Danja and will.i.am." --- i remember the DJ Toomp record was said -by him- to be an 808 driven record. DJ Toomp did stuff for T.I.'s breakthrough album King, and something on Kanye West's... "Can't Tell Me Nuthin" I believe. He also did "Good Life" on Kanye's album. I hope the Mariah track is as good as "Good Life". **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

"Irreplaceable" was popular because of Neyo's input. Ne-yo wrote the majority of Irreplaceable". Beyonce changed a couple of the lyrics and Stargate did the music. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Migrate review:
The first few tracks were big, but MC really hit hard with absolute banger Migrate featuring T-Pain. Oh my daze!!! "We sippin' Grigio slow," murmurs Mariah over some serious dirty south bounce. Not too sure about her dropping a bit of patois on the Damian Marley assisted Cruise Control ('Me say no man... tink I'm jokin'), but we'll forgive her such strangeness considering the tune packs heat. Vocally and sonically, this is yet another outstanding release from the world's biggest selling superstar.

Amazingly EXCITING Review
That Chick Out of Control! Mariah's new album, tentatively titled That Chick, saw collaborations with T Pain, Young Jeezy and Damien Marley[/b] with production by her long time friend and producer Jermaine Dupri, Will I Am, Rodney Jerkins and The Dream. The new music with catchier hooks and melodies than ever, even sees Mariah taking on an exciting new musical adventure where she sings in Jamaican patois on her Damien Marley duet "Cruise Control" where she references "dramas" and "baby mamas" and like your favorite rap star Mariah throws down a new Mariahism ("you love yourself some me!") soon as the album gets into the public domain. Urban music lovers in the house were really excited about that track as well as hip-hop banger "Heat" produced by Will I Am, "For Real,For Real", and "Migrate" where 2007's hit man T Pain hooks up with Mariah but it was the title track "That Chick" with its double entendres which includes a tip of the hat to Michael Jackson with references to his "Of The Wall Classics" that had pop chart taste makers excited claiming it was the number 1 track on the album closely followed by likely international pop hit "Love You Long Time". In typical Mariah fashion there were the legendary ballads "Love Story" and tear jerker "Bye Bye" (an ode to people who have passed away) that will have reality pop contestants singing away for decades to come! One track titled "O.O.C" summed up the night and the return of Mariah - once the albums out it's gonna be "Out Of Control!". To recap, here are the confirmed tracks from the new, tentatively-titled Mariah Carey album, That Chick: • "Touch My Body" • "Migrate" ft. T-Pain • "Heat" • "For Real, For Real" • "That Chick" • "Cruise Control" ft. Damien Marley • "O.O.C" • "Bye Bye" • "Love Story" • "Love You Long Time"
