I like his view on the music from a social/economic/cultural stand point. A must read.

Helped me build up my collection, most definitely. Some of his 'Essential Album' picks (10/10) are quite odd... 'The Last Poets' and 'essential funk album'?!? That album has nothing to do with funk, imo Same as, Herbie's 'Future Shock'... an essential funk album? I think not It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

It sits by my bed. Required if not essential reading for those "funkless" individuals. Or anybody just wanting to know more about the funk. Also check out Crosstown Traffic by Charles Shaar Murray. Not about funk really but the times that created it. It's mainly about Jimi Hendrix. Mainly. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
