What 2008 Releases are you looking forward to

What's on your 2008 list?

Madonna - Licorice (stupid title) - Spring 08

The Heavy Circles - Dynamite Child- This is Edie Brickells new Band. Produced by Paul Simon's Step son Harper and features lots of guest musicians like Sean Lennon and Yuka Honda. I have heard some of this music and it is by far her best music so far and I love all of her music. It's sorta of the same ilk but much more breezy, upbeat and accessable. - Out Feb '08

Is that where you got that song "Better"? I am telling you, I absolutely flourished when I first heard that song and I played it over and over again and FELL ON THE FLOOR when looked on your insert and found it was her. Never a big fan and this song is just stellar! clapping I would buy the album it came off of just because of how fantastic this song is nod

She has become very very generous on Myspace. There have been outtakes from previous years and such. Oft times it's a recent recording she just did. Her creative juices have been flowing...which makes me very happy as you normally have to wait like 3-4 years (or longer) between albums. There is a song on iTunes called Hands On from the Heavy Circles that is just as good. I am assuming that Better will be on it seeing as I haven't heard it yet, it sounds new and it's not accoustic.

I think they simply got back together for one last album. I don't think it did that well. I know she still hangs and jams with them. I do think this is a good move for her as it breathes fresh life into her music and lyrics.

I doubt that'll be the cover for Seventh Tree. It'll be interesting how the fans take to that album as it seems it's going to not be Ooh la la or Strict Machine-ish. IMO it's going to be very quiet and lush and sad.

Goldfrapp's myspace page says that is the album cover...for now anyway. The photo is nice but the overall design seems a bit lazy--more like a single cover instead of something for an album.

I haven't visited their myspace in a few. Their web space is pretty interesting. I totally agree that while it's a nice shot, it's not a very interesting nor clever cover.
