PJ Harvey to hit the Studio with John Parrish

From PJHarvey.net:

Polly is due to enter the studio with John Parish later this month to commence work on a collaborative album, a follow-up to their 1996 collaboration on Dance Hall At Louse Point. They will be joined in studio by long-time cohort, Eric Drew Feldman, Carla Azar from Autolux and Giovanni Ferrario. The studio session will take place ahead of Polly’s forthcoming tour of New Zealand & Australia and confirmed show in Rome on March 9th which are in support of her current album White Chalk.

Carla played drums for Wendy & Lisa for awhile and is on the back cover of their Fruit At The Bottom album. I believe she is the one on the top in this photo:

Well, aside from Flood he was also the main collaborator on To Bring You My Love, so maybe it will be more in that vein.

i always thought flood was the driving force (along with pj, of course) for what made that album so interesting and unique. i'm sure john parrish is unbelievably talented, but i just didn't get any "oomph" from the louse point album, and i like to hold him personally responsible for it. lol

That may be the PJ album I play the least. I forget sometimes that I even have it.

I've been out of the loop concerning Carla's own music--never knew about Autolux.
