At the Badu concert last night and uh...I have some mixed feelings about the show. She was a wee bit late..no prob though I'm a Prince fan so I'm used to that..Her voice was incredible... no doubt..but something was missing. Was it the crowd, bunch of no energy, want to be seen, run to the front of the damn stage with camera phone posers. Was it the set,,a tight funk filled session..problem is it only lasted an hour, hour and a half? Now I saw Stevie Wonder just a few weeks back and the brother stayed on stage and performed a full 3 1/2 hours!!! Was it the venue...I hate the arena theater! I don't know but something was missing. You guys have seen her before, what do you think?

The Astrorena is usually a cool spot. I saw Badu there back in Dec. 96 and that's when I fell in love with that broad when she put those pretty ass eyes and full lips on me and I melted. It could just have been a bad concert you caught by her.

Is this the show 102 kept promoting over and over?

Yeah I think so. Candy was there as the MC..they also had a local spoken word artist 7 do some of his material..incredible! Jill is coming to the Verizon in March..saw her at the arena after her first album and she set it off...I don't know..she previewed some of her new music at last night's show and all of it was on par with some of her best material. Album drops in Feb..if she performs in Dallas following the release I'll have to drive up to see her.
