I've yet to see a good Arabic bio-pic. Mainly, the actors/actresses play their parts to a TEE. Its the writers and producers who fuck the shit up.

Remember Um Kolthom's? The whole thing was a cringe, and I don't think anybody with intelligence would fall for this one-dimensional/clicheic bullshit. The acting was pre-tty good but the plot was about some Saint perfect woman who NEVER had any vices,,,,def not human, from what I gather. It was a crock of bullshit, in short.

And whateva happend to the HYPED Halim project? I'm still trying to find out whateva happend to this project, last I heard, Ahmad Zaki's son played in the movie, and thats it.

Camillia, Asmahan and lately Su'ad Husny,, i'm DYING to get straight up facts on thier deaths.

as for the Halim project, it got relased but it got bad reviews coz Ahmad Zaki died before shooting all his scenes so there were so many voids that even the use of his son in the project couldn't fill. i'm yet to watch it though.

as for Asmahan's bio-pic, yep Sulaf was supposed to do it but from what it seems the whole project got scrapped.
