Lupe Fiasco Cool Just cracked open the cd and after 1 good spin...I like it! No production by Kanye or it appears no def jam meaning no Jay-Z? Nonetheless great production, true artist at work... question is will his efforts go unnoticed? 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

LUPE FIASCO PLANS TO RETIRE AFTER NEXT ALBUM
Thursday, December 6, 2007, 10:53 AM CST [General] According to Launch Radio Networks: Please note the following story contains language that could be considered offensive. Rapper Lupe Fiasco will release his sophomore album, The Cool, on December 18th. The album will feature a guest appearance by Snoop Dogg as well as production by Chad Hugo of the Neptunes, Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, UNKLE and Soundtrakk. Fiasco is sticking to his plan to retire after his next and third album, L.U.P.End. The rapper told PitchFork, "I'm at a creative end. I really don't think I have that much to say. And I don't want to get to the point where I'm putting out music just to put out music. Especially recording music." Fiasco added, "The interview process, the radio process, the video process, the budget process -- that s**t wears at you, tears at you. And I've been doing the music business for like eight years. And prior to that, on the underground level trying to get to a professional level, about 10-15 years. It's a heavy process and you just get to the point where you're just like, 'I don't know.' It's just like three is enough." But the rapper clarified that he plans to continue to perform. He explained, "I'll still perform as long as a venue will have me and a promoter will have me. Always. Until I'm 100 years old." In related news, Fiasco shared that the Child Rebel Soldier supergroup with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams is still in play as soon as they can find some time to record. The rapper said, "Everyone's focused on something else at the moment. (We're trying to find) two or three weeks to sit down and hammer it out. We're all kindred spirits; let's get together and unify that and see what happens." Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
