I was going to post something too! This is going to be interesting. I can't wait to hear from Tina.

Im sure tina will speak on it, but i dont know about her going to any sort of funeral. I mean i understand "forgiveness" and "respect for the dead" and all that ritual, but he did do alot of damage to her.

tina seems to be a very spiritual woman, and it would seem to me that she made her peace with that part of her life a long time ago, though i'm sure there's a part of that kind of abuse that never goes away. that being said, i can totally see tina retaining a respectful silence and not making any comments, positive or negative, upon ike's death.

you know, for as much of a (rightfully) villainized ass as ike was, at least it was kinda cool that he had one last hurrah by being featured on the gorillaz' last album and on the gorillaz "demon days live" video, where ike performs a pretty kick-ass piano solo. if that was the last big public thing he did, he went out on a high although (perhaps deservedly) somewhat obscure note.

That was one of the funniest parts of the movie. Ike did an interview recently on one of the local radio stations here in MPLS. (I think it was B96). It was very entertaining. It sounds like time mellowed Ike out a little bit. He will be missed.

Poor thang. I always did like the old devil even though he was mean as hell. I just hope he made his peace before he died. Rest in peace Ike.

True, Ike did have a violent streak but even him and Tina both said some things in the movie wasn't accurate like the rape scene during the recording of "Nutbush City Limits" was totally fabricated.
