Can anyone recommend MUSIC DVDS/ SACDS?

i just got a new dvd that can also play sacds.

I want to start buying sopme dvds so i can listen through my new set up.

I have Zeppelin dvd; sounds great but the hendrix dvd i just bought(filmore) sounds like shit.

Any favs/ recommendation?

Sound is more important than picture; i'm not really anal about picture quality.
cheers

I mean it really depends on what you like. Not sure what SaCds are...I think I've seen them.

It really depends on what you like. If you like classic rock, Neil Young recently did a movie concert which I haven't seen but was highly recommended.

Carlos Santana - Live from Mexico is awesome. The musicianship is amazing.

The Rolling Stones catalog was isssued on SACD around the time they technology was just starting up. I don't have an SACD player but folks who did told me they were amazing.

I do have the DVD-Audio of Neil Young's Greatest Hits & it does sound absolutely great, especially compared to the original CDs issued in the 80s and early 90s.

The Depeche Mode DVD audio reissues for Violator and Music For The Masses sound fantastic--the best of all the surround sound albums I have so far.

I only have Love (Beatles) in DVD-audio. I have the Police compilation in 5.1 DTS audio.

on a related note:

A lot of people don't realize that the only way you can hear the full quality DVD-audio tracks (NOT the 5.1 dolby tracks which are compressed) is to hook up all 6 outputs to the 6 inputs on your amp for every channel.

I have a friend who paid something on the order of $20,000 for his stereo system and he honestly thought he was hearing the DVD-audio tracks through his single digital cable. He of course, wasn't.

if it's 6 feet or less the cheapest RCA audio cables are exactly the same sound quality as $100 monster gold plated cables. There is no difference, its a scam.
