Glad to see Justice and Feist got some nominations. I definitely enjoyed both of their albums.

Rooting for Winehouse, for the most part!

ok.. can somebody answer me this question.. i asked this question in the other forum ... why is 'Song of the Heart' being nominated in a 2008 award show? Shouldnt that have been in this year's award show?
[Edited 12/7/07 1:25am]

If I'm not mistaken, Happy Feet came out in October or November 2006. The deadline for songs to be submitted to the Grammy committee is September 30th and as a result, Song of the Heart didn't make it in time for the 2007 Grammy's. That's the reason why it's nominated for the 2008 Grammy's. Hope that answerers your question Flowerz.biggrin

thumbs up! thank you Purple .. yes this clears it up nod

It's nice that Prince got nominated. And I think he's got a decent change in male R&B performance. It's between him an Ne-Yo. But for best motion picture song, I'm not so sure. There are alot of great noms. I know all those songs except "Falling Slowing" (from 'Once'). They are all great. So I don't know. If he wins best R&B vocal performance, he probably wont win motion picture song aswell.

The nominees for album of the year are "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace" by the Foo Fighters, "These Days" by Vince Gill, "River: The Joni Letters" by Herbie Hancock, "Graduation" by Kanye West and "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse.

I'm guessing these 2 don't have a snowball's chance in hell.
The musicianship is much too high.

Dont be surprised a few years back everyone was saying U2 "all that you leave behind" was easily gonna win, and that year they won everything but that, they lost to the soundtrack from "O brother....." the movie with George Clooney, and everyone said that album had no chance in hell, so dont be shocked if Vince or Herbie walk off. though i think they are just gonna go with Kayne so they dont have to hear him anymore
