Listening party for Madonna's new album (exclusive details!) At the Warner Bros. offices, there was a listening party for Madonna's new album today and DrownedMadonna has all the details:
The new album is tentaively titled 'Give It To Me'. Madonna introduced the title track by saying "This next song is called "Give It To Me" and that's what I want to call the record". "The Beat Goes On" is on the album but it is completely reworked. It also now features Kanye West. The first single is still undecided. It will either be "Candy Shop" or "4 Minutes To Save The World". There is one track that is dance and acoustic and it is called "Miles Away".Madonna has alot of harmonies on it.Her voice sounds great! A gem. There are 13 tracks on the album, which also includes a re-invention of "The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You",originally written by Madonna for a musical and was also planned to be performed on the Re-Invention Tour. The album is still planned to be released in late April.Madonna herself said that the album will be released the last week of April. MORE DETAILS ON THE LISTENING PARTY! The room was decked out in a candy theme, champagne was being served, candy everywhere you looked. The conference room it was held in was totally transformed. There were red and white stripes and stools as the theme plus colored bricks. There were Re-Invention Tour stage shots in the room including a big poster that may be the cover of the Lisbon DVD.No other photos of anything else, just RIT. Madonna came at 5:30 PM with Ingrid Casares and Guy Oseary, wearing all black-blosue,skirt and boots.Liz Rosenberg was there of course, she is the one who organized the party and set up the theme. Madonna sat on a couch with Liz Rosenberg and Ingrid Casares as the tracks played. Madonna dictated what tracks would be played and specifically said they were not being played in any order. She said she had just finished mixing the album a few days ago. Madonna played "Candy Shop" then "4 Minutes To Save The World" first. She then took a vote on which one should be the first single. She said many times throughout the session that the first single has yet to be decided. She is all about "Candy Shop" and looked upset and surprised when there was a better reaction to "4 Minutes To Save The World",which is like a dancey "Hey You".One line goes "Hey girl, save the world". "The Beat Goes On" sounds NOTHING like the leaked demo we have heard. As we told you,it now features Kanye West.Madonna made the song out to seem like a joke. "Miles Away" and "The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" were played next. Many times she would not announce the names of the songs before playing them but there were songs with the following main hooks: "She's Not Me","Feel It In My Heartbeat" and "Dance Tonight". There is also a song which Madonna called "a psychological mind fuck",which questions who is the master and slave,if you're walking the dog or the dog is walking you. Finally,Madonna said there are 13 tracks but she only played 10 songs.

She has no idea about Hip Hip, this is not 'euro trash', Hip Hop as much as you guys may dislike it is more like 'Jazz' either you know it and can perform the material or you will come off sounding and looking bad,
its almost borderline Blaxplotation. [Edited 12/4/07 0:48am]

I agree.Pharrell and Timbaland have proven that they can do dance music.I wouldn't call Nelly Furtado's last album (which Timbaland produced) "hip-hop" at all.I'm sure there will be a few hip-hop elements on Madonna's album but it's a stretch to say that she's totally gone hip-hop,lol.

Madonna's new song 'so hot'
Posted: 01 December 2007 Madonna's new song with Pharrell Williams is so 'hot' it will 'make the music speakers bleed'. The 'Hung Up' singer has been in the studio with hit producer Pharrell creating tracks for her upcoming album, and he claims their collaboration will take the music industry by storm. Speaking at the launch of his new shop Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in New York on Wednesday, Pharrell said: 'It was crazy. I don't want to say too much. I'd rather wait for you to hear it. It's awesome though. It makes the speakers bleed. It's hot!' Earlier this month, it was reported Pharrell had been recording with the 49-year-old singer at Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles. The pair reportedly bumped into Kanye West, who was working with Michael Jackson in a studio next-door, inspiring the hip-hop star to rap on one of Madonna's new songs. Last month, Madonna signed a $120 million, 10-year record deal with Live Nation Inc. and plans to release her first studio album with the label early next year. Also set to feature on the hotly-anticipated LP are star producer Timbaland. LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

What a big boost for Kanye's ego One minute he's in the studio with Michael Jackson ("The King Of Pop") then a few minutes later,he goes next door and is asked to rap on The Queen of Pop's album too. He's gonna really let this go to his head, lol.

I'll still buy it of course, but it might end up being my least favorite Madonna album. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018!
