If I like Feist, what's next?

Hey guys!

I went to one of her concerts a while back and really liked it (Anybody know this Gonzalez guy? Her supporting act. Plain funny!) I thought I couldn't get into her music which sounded a bit to whiny normal at first. Well, I was wrong, but now I find it hard to find comparable artist which are any good. Any suggestion?

I recommend the album by new artist Bat for Lashes entitled 'Fur and Gold' biggrin
To me it has a similar vibe as The Reminder

If you will, so will I

I thought Feist was rather tepid and bland.

Try these:

Nicole Atkins - Neptune City
Cat Power - Moon Pix
Cat Power - You Are Free
Charlotte Gainsbourg - 5:55
Joan As Policewoman - Real Life
The Like - Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?
My Brightest Diamond - Bring Me The Workhorse
The Pierces - Thirteen Tales Of Love And Revenge
Rilo Kiley - Under The Blacklight
Regina Spektor - Begin To Hope
Tegan And Sara - The Con (not my favorite album of theirs by far, but you might like it)

The only Jane Birkin I have is the album she did with Serge back in 1969. I wanted to stay relatively current. smile

Thanks sextonseven! I will try them.

Anybody knows Mocky? I friend of mine has one of his albums. Sounds a bit like our little friend and Feist had a sleepover.

I have never heard of Mocky.

Maybe I was too specific in recommending all female artists, but I hope you find something you like in there. The Bat For Lashes record that was suggested earlier is also very goood.

I just saw a Scottish singer recently who reminded me a little of Feist.

Damn I can't remember her name, but I saw her on Letterman just a week or so ago.

KT Tunstall? I heard the first single from her latest album which was okay, but it didn't move me enough to want to hear more.

Yeah that's her! I agree it didn't blow me away, but it was decent.
