BEYONCE GOES COUNTRY? I've heard rumors about this ever since the AMA's
what do you guys thinks about Beyonce recording Country Music BEYONCE GOES COUNTRY? I’m not sure what to believe as far as Beyonce news goes anymore, because just a month ago, Beyonce has signed on Timbaland to produce the majority of her upcoming record, which was supposed to be a dance album. Now, ever since her Bluegrass performance of “Irreplaceable” with country band, Sugarland, at this year’s AMA’s, rumors are swirling of Beyonce taking a country western direction on her upcoming album (which I hope isn’t coming out next year). A source tells British newspaper The Sun: “Beyonce wants to try something completely different. She’s a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it.” Apparently, Beyonce has tapped award-winning songwriter, Amanda Ghost, who was behind James Blunt’s hit “You’re Beautiful” for the project. I don’t know about this one, guys. We’ll see. I’d much rather hear the dance album, because I think the Timbaland records would be crazy. But I guess we’ll find out how much truth there is to this. http://concreteloop.com/2...more-20840 I'MMA WORLD WIDE WOMAN! After the much talked about American Music Awards country influenced performance of "Irreplaceable" with Sugarland, Beyonce Knowles is rumored to be adding some country to her forthcoming CD. According to Ireland news source RTE Entertainment, the international pop star called upon award winning singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost - the creative force behind James Blunt's hit "You're Beautiful" - for the project. "Beyoncé wants to try something completely different," a source close to the singer told RTE. "She is a big fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go." Last month the rumor was that she was going disco? If you will, so will I

Yeah, I heard disco too. I wonder is Beyonce is a bit stuck musically? It seems as if they are trying to find which direction she should go in next.
I won't say that B-Day suffered from a sophomore slump, but I'm sure it was a disappointment as far as expectations, and for good reason. She definitely stepped it down a couple of notches with the second record, and despite all of her accomplishments, you can't really say that she's musically better than a Rihanna, Ashanti, or Ciara, which in the future can make her music very forgettable. Whatever Beyonce does next, I believe, can possibly make or break her as an artist. She has to step it up musically and write lyrics or get people to write lyrics that are memorable. They want the album to be out by the summer of 08, but she needs more time or else she'll continue to ride the wave of what's popular, and that won't do much for the longevity of her music. First of all when we hear the term country lets remember that it really doesnt exist anymore, Country has become the new POP with the likes of Shania and Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood etc..is country really country, if Beyonce did something like this it would be more on order with those ladies as opposed to recording something old school like Willie Nelson or Hank Williams or Patsy Cline, just the fact that the latest albums from Jewel and Bon Jovi were condsidered country shows that country has now become the new "POP" for songwriters "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

thats because last month everybody was talking about britney and her dance album, you know beyonce has to jump on whatever bandwagon she thinks is the most popular at the moment.

I heard this too a week or so ago, I hope she doesn't. I know texas is notorious for country, but dang bee I am a big fan and I am not with you doing that, try hooking up some zydeco instead. stick with timbaland and do beyonce instead of all these other avenues. chile you have a fan base don't just be all over the place with it. maybe one with a guest appearance with a country singer on one song. The irreplaceable worked I loved the hell out of it. the band was grooving and I applaud you for wanting to do different things. But let the taste linger and go on to the next thing. OKAY, maybe one on the next lp. I am ready for more get me bodied and slow jams. hook it up girl! nipsy

Zydeco??? That could actually be kinda interesting, a lot meatier than some faux country-come-popish collaboration...

.....and don't forget about Miley Cyrus AKA Hannah Montana. Yeah exactly, i think there is a HUGE difference between Shania Twain and Patsy Cline (besides age and living and dead). Even if Beyonce cut a record with people like Sugarland thats not country, if she wants to go country then record with a banjo and things like that. Sugarland and Big & Rich etc are not country. The new things seems to be anything "ballad"like or singer-songwriter type is labelled country. in couple of years Country and Gospel will be where mainstream music is headed or should I say what people predict will be the only genre still able to move units...shows how commited to their craft these artists are, lets see who jumps ship for the sake of sales..

Why not? As dull as country is, it would definately be a step up from what she's been recording and not as dull either. After that, it would be nice if she would get a redneck boyfriend also that gets drunk and slaps her around. Andy is a four letter word.

That "antichrist" is aiming for success at a Michael Jackson-type level, meaning that her albums & tour might be the biggest sellers of the 2000's if she ever decides to go for a world tour in the future. And it's a damn shame that it's another artist with a Disney Production connection, no less. Take Disney out of the equation, the american music industry would have been finish.
