This special, 51-track (plus 4 bonus tracks) compilation is ridiculously masterful; perhaps a strong candidate for the most enjoyable music I've yet had the pleasure of hearing.

A perfect place to jump into the very prolific waters of Bob Dylan. Then jump into the albums or not from here on whatever level suits you.

Dylan embraced the enormous legacy that lay before him, then eventually made himself his own person. A 44-year musical career of classics evenly and chronologically distributed throughout.

Very diverse. Very intense. A constant shedding of skins.

If only more in America at the time had embraced rather than segregated, I truly believe we'd have seen more excellence on these shores -- like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, etc.
