I have ruffled a few feathers when I said "oh Thriller couldn't have sold 100 million copies, you crazy?" LOL And co-signing one of the posters, who is annoyingly an Akon fan, lol! But I don't know if she'll like what Michael and Akon are doing either.

True or him saying in 2003, "why can't you share your bed?!" or saying he and Macaulay Culkin hung out in a hot air balloon. When I first heard that, inside I was . THE FUCK WAS HE ON ON THAT SPECIAL (since he admitted to being high on prescription drugs, that could've been the reason). Least he didn't say Valium is a dangerous drug, than he would've really not have gotten to hear the last of it! But remember the rebuttal specials? OMG...

I wish they didn't decide to remix, I just hate the thought of messing up classics. They are classic for a reason, they don't need to be touched, thats all I care about right now. They don't need to be re-released to appeal to the young crowd of today, I'm going to pull my hair out. Michaels songs are perfection, they don't need to be chopped and screwed and remixed and re sung by another. Im dreading the remixes, and thats no offence to any of the artists, cause I like all of the artists. But touching a Michael Jackson song is a no no
Im going to fucking explode, these songs are like my children

Wow, I couldn't care less about these "2008" versions. Akon shouldn't be allowed near microphones. Keep your headphones on.

I don't know if it's been asked already but is the entire song "Carousel" going to be on the CD? I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

"P.Y.T. 2008" with will.i.am?? I certainly won't be buying this! I'm starting to feel the same way. That's fucking unbelievable. Is MJ that desperate? Everytime I start to warm up to him again, something comes up to make me hate him all over again. Damn. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. One good thing is the Cd quality version of For All Time. Not a Thriller out-take. But still nice to have. I'll probably download it though. I don't think Sony or Michael have earned my money.

I've never heard of For All Time so that will be interesting but knowing that such and incredible album like Thriller is about to become tainted and contaminated with the cesspool that is Akon, will.i.am and Kanye West makes me I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Just to say it was exactly 25 years today that Thriller was released, Dec 1 1982.
It still seems like yesterday that I was huming along to the: "Girl is Mine", getting down to "Wannabe Startin Somethin" and thinking that "Billie Jean" was one of the most original songs I had ever heard. I swooned to the "Lady in My Life" and "Human Nature" would sooth me to sleep. I couldn't stand "Beat it" and "Thriller"....until I saw the videos and then the songs became bearable. This is just my memory of Thriller 25 year ago, when I was a teenager and still at school. [Edited 12/1/07 8:07am] [Edited 12/1/07 8:29am]

25 years ago, I was in the process of going from embryo to fetus, and then, I was born just the day before motown 25 and some of my first memories a few years later included mj videos
I'll be buying this compilation for sure, I love kanye west and can tolerate the other two though I'm not totally fond of them. I think more Thriller cuts could have been included, although I'm glad For All Time is

So far, I am not impressed because we have most of this stuff already. I wonder what the remixed songs will be like, hope they will be a pleasant surprise.
Anyway, here a ciik fab vudei nade fir tge anniversary celebration. He´s good, but I can´t help laughing. http://www.youtube.com/wa...d0v4YMUm8Q "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Same with me! I'm 20 but rarely listen to today's music. There are fans on MJNO who are defending Akon. Hell, a couple of people even called him and Kanye....geniuses Akon is shit but that "Nobody wanna see us together" song is actually good. The melody is very reminiscent of Bob Marley, particularly that "We go' fight" section. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

SoulAlive said: Timmy84 said: I'm just saying, it just makes it seem like the only reason he's putting this out was to say "hey I'm getting too old for this but this is what happened when I was young" almost like he IS saying "goodbye" but he keeps on giving you these mixed signals: "oh I'm working on something right now" AND HE COULD VERY WELL BE but who knows? And also it sucks when your own publicist has to deny every little thing you're rumored you're doing. In all hindsight, if Michael wants to let people know WHO he is, he is best to reunite with his brothers and do the reunion. MAYBE going back to THAT side of the past can give him SOME inspiration in the future as it used to 28 years before, ya know? You know what? I don't think that MJ was really working on a "new album" after all.He was simply working on these 'Thriller' special edition tracks.I feel bad for the fans who were expecting a new album. I agree. I'm sure william and akon thought they were in with a shot of producing some new tracks with him, and I'm sure Michael was happy to let them think that, but I don't think that was ever his intention. I don't feel sorry for the fans though. They need to stop kidding themselves. It's over. It's possible at some point in the future he may put out a new album, but I think it would have the same level of dedication from Mike as Britney's album has from her. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

"it's the remix to ignition, hot and fresh out the kitchen...". Same melody. And MattyJam, I'm thinking they were just remixed by those clowns without any contribution by MJ (expect for making the original versions). I could be wrong though. Hope I'm not. I'd like to think MJ was not involved in raping his own beautiful work. [Edited 12/4/07 3:26am]

Was there ever any sort of official release of a full version of Carousel? Love that song, but don't like the way it ends on the previous Thriller release.
I wrote "of" a lot in one sentence.

i did not know for all time" was a thriller left out . i think if that single would be better then some akon rape version of wanne be startin something its a decent song and probaly better then anything they will come up with( although if we had the internet back in the 80s and i would have read teddy riley was doing mjs album i would have said the same and that worked great imo)

There is one bit in the song where he sings this same melody that Usher, Mariah and others have all used in recent years. God knows why they all use that melody 'cos it was annoying the first time. Maybe you're thinking of that bit, but most of the song has much more of an old school tune. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Here's the album cover, guys!
Here's what the packaging looks like: It all looks pretty nice, but I still don't think i'll be getting it. I'll have to take some serious consideration on this one. No rare tracks or unissued stuff, just some newly, updated remixes by some of today's most irritating artists (excluding Kanye)? Is this really a what a 25th anniversary is supposed to be? Check me out and add me on:

New tracklist The fanatics on MJNO hate me for talking shit about the tracklisting and the featured performers I refuse to call Akon and Ferfie "artists" "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
