Mainly because we've been bombarded with Kylie all week here in the UK. On Sunday there was a two hour behind the scenes documentary for instance. She's one of those "national institution" types like Robbie Williams who we're always being told we're in love with. No-one gets as much TV and radio support as Kylie (even before the cancer). It just seems a bit pernicious to me, but I don't want to "rain on your parade" so, like I promised, I'm outta here. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I don't really listen to metal. Except for black metal and grindcore, perhaps.
And I've masturbated to Kylie Minogue's pictures and videos numerous times. And so has apparently many of the people who few years ago voted her as the "sexiest woman in the world". But I mean, they might have been all gay.

But I can't fuck a CD can I? “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Well, it's not just gays. There are obviously a lot of straight women who love her too. It's something girls and gays share between them I guess. But I'd steer well clear of any girl who liked any more than a couple of Kylie songs, and if she was a full-fledged fan, well, she'd probably just have to settle for one night of great sex and no relationship. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I'm slightly disappointed by this album.
I have like the impression there are too many fillers, which is pretty odd considering the great tunes that haven't made the final cut (I'm In The Mood For Love, above all) The studio version of White Diamond (available pre-ordering the album on Itunes) is just fantastic though. It is definitely one of her best songs ever. As one door closes, another opens...

The dance cut hell yes. the other stuff, not so much And you know what? I'm kind of shocked that as hardcore as you are about your lists, reviewing music, numbers and all that stuff that you could let singing slide I guess that is what is great about pop music because it really only has to be fun to be fun, but still. [Edited 11/27/07 16:46pm] I don't let singing slide. If I can't stand someone's voice, I generally won't like the song. I'm not claiming that Cece can't sing, but rather that I don't like her voice. Funny you're mentioning Ce Ce Peniston though, as I used to like some of her tracks back in the day. "Keep On Walking" was kind of fun, though I must admit I'd forgotten about her until about 5 minutes ago. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Well, I haven't heard her music in about 15 years now, but seeing her name again reminded me of that song. It was fun dance music with a TUNE, something I find missing in far too much dance music. From what I remember she had a strong, gospel style voice too. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
