Ditto.but of the others I say J5 has the best their version has more feeling and emotion in it, but I do love Isaac's and Gloria's versions as well. Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

Jackson 5! No question about it! No one tops that!
Hayes version is boring, Gaynor version is crap and Communards version is gay! Don't care to mention the others!

There's no competition. Gloria's version is just shit disco, and Isaac's version is melodramatic, whereas the J5 version is about as good as music gets. Black music was at an all time high in the late 60s/early 70s and the J5/Michael stuff was some of the best of the period (although I can't listen to the bubblegum singles like "ABC" anymore). “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I haven't heard a version I don't like, but I have to go with the J5. Very rarely would I pick against little Mike. [Edited 11/25/07 20:50pm] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Yep. He also wrote Uppermost and Lookin' Through the Windows. Some of their best songs IMO.

I'm actually not feeling the quick Attention Deficit Disorder tangent when it medleys into "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch". Like, damn, just focus on one Motown classic at a time.

Timmy84 said: Ooh... this is a tough one. All four of them did it in their own special way. The J5 did it with poetry, Isaac did it hot, buttery and soulful (pun intended), James made it funky in a slow cut, and Gloria took the song to discos and it made sense to do so.
Hmm... I could say Isaac or Gloria but I'm feeling J5 more so again the Jackson brothers for me. EXACTLY!

Well, I've always loved Isaac's version and Gloria's was great too. I'm always use to hearing J5's version all the time. But I have to be the oddball and go with Isaac Hayes as my fav. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...x-bJV1GV-U She sang it when I saw her on tour 2 years ago. It is such a great song in any style. She played with just piano accompaniment. Was beautiful! _ Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...
