Alvin & The Chipmunks The Movie Looks HILARIOUS!!!!

So I'm REALLY excited about Alvin and The Chipmunks - the movie. It looks REALLY funny. Here is the trailer:

Plus, the chipmunks singing is GREAT! smile

Marvin Gaye fans will get a kick out of it...at the end! biggrin

Here is something more if you want to see more:

Seriously? As someone that grew up on the 1980s era Chipmunks cartoons, I can't even believe how bad this movie looks. I get that I'm not in the demographic that the movie is shooting for, but I just don't know who this is appealing to...

Witch Doctor again:lol: Who remembers the Chipmunks Adventure movie, the one with the Chipettes. They were racing each other around the world in hot air balloons. I swear I used to love that movie to death.

They should make another cartoon movie with The Chipettes instead a live action one.

The Chipmunks go back to the late 1950s for some of you that didn't know! lol

They actually looked like what they looked like in the trailer before they were given a cuter look, lol.

Speaking of, I hear The Alvin Show (not the 1983-91 Alvin & the Chipmunks show), the 1961-62 original show will be released to DVD next year just in time for the 50th anniversary of Ross Bagdasarian, Sr.'s (a/k/a the original David Seville) creation of the Chipmunks. smile

Is this the one where he eats the poo? I saw that trailer before some movie and I swear people were going to riot..started throwing things at the screen. And it wasn't like we were seeing "The Queen" or anything.

Yeah I heard people were wilding out as if the producers were torturing the Chipmunks that "they knew and love". But already I can say these are NOT the Chipmunks from that time period. falloff People get so emotional. lol

I agree. I remember seeing the commerical for this and I couldn't believe it. Remaking stuff and making movies into TV shows is fine...but this doesn't look good at all. At least with "Garfield" there was some promise since it was voiced by Bill Murrrary, who was obviously collecting a paycheck!

The '80s version is tame compared to the '60s one. lol The '60s one often popped up at Nick so I was presuming you were talking about that.
