Glad y'all feelin that. I'll just say the tag of the word "Neo" put in front of soul I can't feel much. But more important some acts & cats do get the all mighty hype machine behind them. I know better then 2 fall 4 flashy heavy on the sugar new comers.

Now if theres some serious merit 2 what they bring 2 the table then I'll peep out the display. Bilal or anyone else don't need 2 sell 5 million copys out the box 4 me 2 hear what they tryin 2 say. Theres many far less talented artist who are selling much more records off of the image factor instead of the music. Thats where the crime is, when they sell 4 every other reason then the product, the foundation, the "music".

Its not all about the brotha's thou...sistas have really been putting it down. And when I hear a woman like Jill Scott "sang"...& know this Queen is also penning some beautiful poetic & positive lyrics...hey, U want 2 talk about a great first album with true soul...peep that. "Neo" need not have anything 2 do with what I hear in her that comes deep from her soul~

When U hear it so organic like that, a connection has been made! And she knows shes bad, when she can put out a "Live" Album ->(I'm old Skool) or cd...her second shot out. Thats the hype that draws this brotha in. I use a real sense of truthfulness 2 filter my way around new music/artist. What can I tell ya..I'm a Libra~

Not 2 leave out India Arie & others etc...This is so what the music biz needs right now and what its been lacking. "Talent"...4 writing, producing, arranging, playing real instruments etc...This is what I call being all U can B, with much detail~
