This is a cool feature... thanks!
I've been on a steady diet of Queen for the past few days (probably influenced by their release of a 1981 Montreal concert on DVD) so I decided to post 2 clips from the band, which are vastly different from each other. First off is a live performance of their classic rocker "Now I'm Here" from a 1979 charity concert.... Notice Freddie hasn't yet grown his moustache at this point. And the other video is the cheesy videoclip for the song "Back Chat" off their controversial 1982 "disco" album Hot Space. The song is quite "dancey" and funky, at least by Queen's standards, and supposedly this is one of the songs that Michael Jackson was influenced by when he made the Thriller album (he and Freddie were good friends at the time and he heard the Hot Space album when they were making it). But the video-clip: if you look up cheesy in the dictionary there is a still from this video. Especially notice the moment around 2:40 and of course the "drum solo" | |
