Well I stumbled on the download of the album... and so i got a chance to listen to her new album.... and as a former major brit fan.... This is her worst album... I like how her albums were eclected.. and had really fun songs... but even though they songs are uptempo dance songs.. they still sound depressing.. and almost satanic/devilish.... i don't trust listening to her music anymore.. this girl has done drugs and so many things.

and most of her songs sound like she used the same instruments, or sounds to create each song...

the only songs that i like are Heaven on Earth: I like this song cause it sounds like a sonic the hedge hog video game.. from genesis.... I LOVE SONIC..

and the last song that i like is "Why should i be sad": this is a nice song.. very mellow, midtempo song....

she has 12 songs on the whole album... and i only like 2.... and IM definitly NOT going to buy her album... I wasn't planning to... but this just confirmed....

For the record i would say every musician has done some sort of drugs and been mixed up in "things". I wouldnt label Britney as being satanic or devilish, judgements like that bother me because those are things that usually lead to "banning" and "censorship" and we all know that was a big thing in the 80's, playing records backwards, blaming peoples suicides on lyrics of songs instead of blaming the person who killed themselves or their parents etc. As far as Britney im not going to get into a whole this and that about her. whatever her issues are, are hers. The fact that we have a media that things that following this girl to the grocery store is "news" is more dangerous than her music will ever be. And you just have to seperate the person from their image. I mean if we honestly did this for every artist, i dont think we'd like anyone, because alot of them have their issues and attitudes and ego's thats why they are in the business.I mean just look at the whole PRINCE thing right now, people are saying they will never listen to him again? Really? why? Because he is doing something that we dont like "personally", it really is the same thing.

I think the album does have a dark feel to it..it is called "Blackout" too.

The album cover..is part of the reason I have yet to buy it..it's sheer terrible. The osngs are nice though and to me is more of a step up that her pervious two efforts since "OOps I Did It Again" which was a nice album. I am really fond of "Why Should I Be Sad" with all it's weird Princey-ness

I did buy Chris Brown's CD though..which aint bad.

Nothing "dark" about it at all, let alone devilish or satanic, whatever the hell that even means.

Its just a collection of simple dancey pop tunes. She purposefully kept away from any serious naval gazing and just wanted to have fun.

The album is directionless for someone that a singer that just started to getting into writing and creating her own kind of sound (notice that "In the ZOne" had many songs co-written by Britney, including "Everytime", which is probably the truest example of her songwriting talents. FOr someone that has done a lot of living, it does seem strange that the "personal" song "Piece of Me" is not written by her at all and lke most of the tunes, contains two verses and a chorus that keeps repeating and repeating and isn't all that catchy after hearing it that many times in a row. That being said, it has it's moments and even has a mindless dance album with weak vocals is a cut above the rest in that genre.

I would say it's a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Not only is the fact that someone would say that Britney Spears is evil unbelievable; but, the fact that someone feels like they would really have to delve deeply into the soul and mind of Britney Spears (Not possible, since there "IS NO DEPTH.....WHATSOEVER!!!!") to find valuable/controversial morals is quite hyperbolic.
