Face it, Janet is a nobody with a weak voice, a whiney personality and a total lack of talent. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis did a great job by hiding that fact for a while, but its the truth.

And, yes, Jesus and Mary Chain and Radiohead (alltough i dont like both of them) have more talent then Miss Jackson, with her alienface and her thin voice.

I can honestly say without a doubt that Britney Spears is the most overrated artist of all time. I don't like Janet J's current music, but I like her earlier music, so I can't say that she's overrated, at least she can carry a song and dance her (nice) ass off, but Britney can't.

And imo, JJ isn't a great, natural dancer either. Thanks to the likes of Paula Abdul and others, she has good choregraphy. Anyone who really wants to see how JJ use to dance should watch a few episodes of fame. She wasn't the worse dancer in the world but she was no big deal either.

Oh my, for once I agree with whatsgoinon. Yes, the key is "natural dancer". Janet's talent is picking up choreography better than a lot of people, but stick her on the spot and ask her to freestyle and she'll be back to the Fame/Dream Street days where she stands on the spot and waves her arms about a bit.

I don't think Janet is the most overrated artist on the org, but that's just my opinion. Since everyone likes different things, this is a hard subject to address with this title. Personally, I think Britney Spears is the most overrated artist in music history, because she copies Madonna, Janet, and many other great female entertainers who have more talent in their pinkie fingers than Britney has in her entire body (weave and all). She's the most unoriginal artist ever put together by a record label. Beyonce is overrated too, but at least Beyonce can sing and dance well in a pair of high heels. Simply put, Janet is probably one of the few child stars who came out unmarked. She gets props for not being a drug-addicted, attention-starved, media whore, so that makes her one cool lady to me. Can't wait for the new album to drop!
