Ya know, I hated them when they first came out, seemed like the most overrated band in the world, basically just playing power ballads with a "grungier" production. But I've grown to admire them: Vedder has been really consistent with his causes without being a preachy schmuck about it, and the music got better in my opinion, definitely more adventurous. When I saw them play a concert, it was like a frat boy lovefest, they were literally hugging each other. And besides being kinda hot, it actually made me appreciate that there are bands out there that make frat boys hug each other.

Huge Pearl Jam fan here. Not much to say at the moment about them, other than the fact that they easily rose above the "grunge" tag and continued to push their sound. In fact, I'd say that Ten is one of their weakest albums; almost everything that followed improved upon it. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

They've always been cool with me. I got Vitalogy and Vs. Plus Ben Harper has shared bills with PJ and has jammed with Eddie. test

I didn't really get serious bout PJ until Vitalogy. I've found most their albums to be a little 'rushed' in the production. When they started releasing all of their shows on CD, I didn't go back. "I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs

I am HUGE fan. Their shows are incredible, the band is incredible. I would listen the Avacado album "Pearl Jam". That is by far my favorite work from them. Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.. (Voltaire)

Big fan here. Vs is at the top of my list, with Vitology close behind. Yellow Ledbetter is one of my favorite songs of all time.
I like the later stuff too...their last one was incredible as was Binaural. One last thing...Eddie Vedder's Into the Wild is by one of my faves of the year. Pure gold. Almost forgot to mention Temple of the Dog...what a great CD. Has most of PJ with Chris Cornell. This is a classic under-apperciated gem. [Edited 11/12/07 17:04pm]
