Well actually if it wasnt for Amerie's last 2 albums, BEYONCE wouldnt have had anything to steal, so someone got TAUGHT. Beyonce got taught nothing, and if she did it wasn't Amerie doing the teaching, it was Amerie's producers. All these girls have a LOT to learn about music. [Edited 11/6/07 8:32am]

[Edited 11/6/07 8:32am] Ok first of all, lets get the story STRAIGHT. A few years back AMERIE had the 1Thing, this was her production with Rich Harrison, who was in her camp, whom she brought in. Amerie came up with this sound not Mr.Harrison, they played it for SONY and they liked it but the full album wasnt ready so they held off on just dropping the single. Meanwhile during this time Amerie took the record and gave it to Dj's locally to play in clubs, which they did. During this time they worked on the AMerie album, while they were working someone played this track for Matthew Knowles and he demanded that the sound be given to BEYONCE for her next record which turned out to be Crazy In Love, they told him that Amerie's record was due out soon, he had them shelve the record till Beyonce could get this sound, because she needed something FRESH. Well of course money talks, the label knew that BEYONCE was bigger than AMerie so they shelved the 1thing till, Crazy in Love could be complete and got it out. Then when 1THING came out Amerie looked like the Follower when she was the leader, actually the creator of that sound, though Rich helped his imput was MINIMAL and he was basically dismissed after this record from Ameries future work. Proof of this can be heard in Amerie's GOTTA WORK, which is a shot at Beyonce and Rich, using the sound Amerie created. We heard it. And I buy Amerie as an artist about as much as I buy Cassie and Nicole Shereadfadflump as artists.

I thought "Case of the Ex" was OK, but the only one I really liked was "My Love Is Like... Wo" (and I'm not even going to deny the video had some effect). Oh yeah! You mean when she bent over in those short blue shorts and wiggled it real quick for the camera! BLISS! nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

Sorry i view Nicole as an artist because she at least has improved since her start in 1997, sorry you dont agree but whatever. As for Amerie i would take her anyday over Beyonce, more diverse and intersting as far as being mainstream RB. The album has been made...Do they really lose money just putting it out there, even in limited supplies. The label doesnt lose money as long as they put it out somewhere, and they look at the most cost effective market where the artist has a following. And yes MYA has fans in japan, actually she had two singles recently chart there. AYO went top15 there and Germany and Ridin also. The thing is the USA though a numbers market, is not a lucrative market, u really have to sell alot to break even. MYA could sell 10,000 there and it would equal 500,000 to the label, and also any marekting would be transferred over to Japan which would cost Motown/Universal nothing (and thats good because Universal posted the biggest losses this year, and needs something or at lot of people are gonna get dropped) "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
