Teena Marie hands down. Joss Stone not only tries too hard, but her ad-libs are atrocious.

P!nk was a very under rated singer. Too bad she doesn't sing R&B anymore.

Teena Marie easily. I wouldn't rush out to get a joss stone album but she
does have a good voice compared to some of these other fly by night pansies on
the market. She actually did well on a vh-1 performance a couple of years ago.

I'm having trouble with this whole "blue-eyed" concept. Doesn't it pertain to artists that don't normally appeal to an r&b audience not only because of race, but style also? I consider it a crossover phenomenon and don't apply it to white artists who were already grounded in an R&B style like Teena, Joss, AWB and even Madonna.

Bee Gees and Boz Scaggs are good examples of pop or rock acts that deserve the "blue-eyed" tag because they started in genres not favored by black audiences but cut later tracks to broaden their appeal.

I've been told that I'm "blacker" than most black folks. I consider it a compliment.

Lydia Pense might be considered more of a power singer (without the screaming/screeching, which puts me at odds with Ms. Marie ) and Dusty Springfield having a more subdued yet soulful style imo.
