Paula Abdul - new album in November 2007 ??? WHAT?!
I'm sorry. Paula was my first true pop star obsession. I'll always love her and be interested. But I had no idea that her comeback album was coming out!? After a decade of rumors and fals-starts, it appears that she's actually doing it! I'm less than thrilled with the title though. According to her Wikipedia entry: During the Hey Paula series, the original theme song for the series (Paula's #1 single "Straight Up"), was replaced on the 4th episode with what appears to be a brand new song recorded by Paula, titled "Karma", suggesting a possible upcoming music comeback. She is set to release her new album "Abdulmatic" in November 2007.[citation needed] The first yet to be announced single will go out to radio in October 2007.
wouldn't it be great if the title track was a cover of Prince's "Automatic" "A-B-D-ulmatic...." "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Yes, the rational me realizes that. But the irrational me is letting wiki get his hopes up for like the 10th time in as many years "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Do you think she'll pass on the vocals this time?

Right. Notice the citation needed. I doubt unless it's real indie that it will come out in a month! Nothing shows up on Google...sorry. [Edited 10/19/07 21:18pm]

She's the most overrated and boring performer I ever saw (and unfortunatly heard). Her voice is the most bland and dreadful I ever heard. She makes Madonna seem like Maria Callas. Thank the lords of Kobol that she was never massive here in europe.
But hey...she shagged a Jackson. That's why I know who she is. I once downloaded a greatest hits comp of hers...HORRIBLE STUFF! [Edited 10/29/07 14:46pm]

Hate to rain on anyone's parade but paula abdul should stick to being a judge
on american idol and doing work for others as a choreographer. Her fifteen minutes of fame as a singer has been up. She is horrible as a singer. I would buy an ashanti cd before i would buy a paula abdul cd. Her coming out with a cd does nothing at this point to generate any buzz like a legendary diva named chaka khan whom everyone loves and respect. I don't hate paula but don't ruin what little fame she already has. Don't laugh at my funk

Trust me i wasn't literally trying to imply that i would actually buy an ashanti cd but if you can tolerate paula abdul's annoying singing you might as well buy ashanti. Don't laugh at my funk

I think Paula Abdul was a fun artist at her time. Who wasn't addicted to that jam "Straight Up". I found her mildly entertaining, but also one of the prototypes for the studio artist of today. Great image, great production team, little talent. She is a great dancer though. And lets not forget, she got her big break on her knees (She was also passed from one Jackson brother to another). Maybe she doesn't have a gag reflex. "POOR IS THE MAN WHO'S PLEASURES DEPEND ON THE PERMISSION OF ANOTHER" Madonna
