thought this thread was about Marlon? Some of you are way too obsesse with record sales, I mean who wants to read a whole list of figures regarding Janet's and Madonna record sales and gold albums and who has more global influence? It's boooooringgggg.
Now, back to Marlon does anyone think he is on the "downlow"? [Edited 10/12/07 1:43am]

You have more than enough Michael Jackson comments made on a thread not involving him. I saw some pictures posted and yet another discussion about his physical appearance. Well I haven't said anything about Michael's appearance on this thread, nor have I posted any pics of him. The thread was about Marlon and I have stuck to the topic. I didn't mean to imply that YOU personally posted any Michael Jackson pictures or started talking about his physical appearance. I meant that several people ("you" in a plural, general sense) have talked more than enough about Michael Jackson than what was warranted on a thread not related to him. Look at what you're saying. You're telling us she had one Number One album in the UK. One. By contrast Madonna has had nine. Nine compared to one. If this were a football match that score would be counted as a slaughter. Madonna has had twelve Number One singles in the UK. Janet has had none. Twelve to none. Out of twelve and none, which do you think is more impressive? Madonna sold out Wembley Stadium. Janet had to content herself with Wembley Arena which is at least six times smaller. Here's a thought. Maybe that might have been because Madonna was six times more popular? Think about it for a while. Weighed against all this, the best you can come up with is one single that did well ("Together Again"). One single. You'll notice I don't even mention specific Madonna singles because there are far too many of them that were huge. Once again, I must ask you and the rest of the Flat Earth Society to try and retain some sense of perspective. Now lets get back to Marlon. Does anyone believe Marlon could be on the Downlow? You've just confirmed everything I've been saying about you. Despite reams of evidence that Mike could possibly be gay, you dismiss the suggestion. Yet one anonymous orger posts a totally unsubstantiated tale out of nowhere, and suddenly you're seriously questioning whether Marlon could be in the closet. As before, your logic is obviously taking a back seat to your fantasies. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I'd have to agree with that for the most part. I mean you never hear about him being involved in a scandal, he supports his family when needed, and he seems to call things as he sees them. (I remember once he said of Michael, something like, "We don't speak much anymore. He lies.") And it's like, a lot of the Jacksons try to present this image that they all get together on a regular basis, and while that might be true, I just kind of doubt it.
As a huge fan of MJ, and from reading various books, he seems to be involved in his own little world 90% of the time. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

Michael's brother Tito has said in recent years, that Michael and Marlon are a lot closer that people think. Michael is only 1yr younger than Marlon.
Marlon is a very kind and family loving man, from what I've heard. My favorite Jackson after Michael is Jackie Jackson. He his ex wife Enid said that Michael is far more normal than people think he is, and I agree with her.

Your patronising tone is also unappreciated. i will not respond to any more of your posts on this subject matter! You obviously haven't understood the debate or my argument. I have never disputed that Janet has had hits here. What I'm saying, and I've said it about a hundred times now, is that she has never been anywhere near as successful outside the US as she's been inside the US. Some American Janet fans have attempted to deny this. I'm also saying that she's always trailed behind a dozen other artists who have been more popular than her outside America. And I'm comparing her to Madonna because, believe it or not, there are some who genuinely believe Janet is comparable to her internationally, when, as I've shown, she doesn't even come close. They are in two completely different galaxies as a simple comparison of statistics shows.
