Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) How many here like this song? I don't like the lyrics(Why would anybody want to get used by you?) (be abused?).
I do like the rhythm and the lyrics otherwise. Do u agree?.

A very haunting, beautiful song. one of the best of the 1980's. "POOR IS THE MAN WHO'S PLEASURES DEPEND ON THE PERMISSION OF ANOTHER" Madonna

That song because of it's massive play and sample use is probably my least favorite from the album. "Love is a Stranger" is one I'll never tire of though. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I love "Sweet Dreams," but "Love is a Stranger" is definitely one of my favorite E songs.

This is how it was meant to sound...
http://www.youtube.com/wa...0R3MIqwMrc But The Eurythmics synthed it up to get radio play. Just listen to the lyrics. It was always supposed to be a dark song.

They did the right thing. If they had let it go the way it went, it wouldn't have sold. Remember, this song actually made the group stars. Before then, they were STRUGGLING so moving to synth pop worked! And "Love is a Stranger" is boss too.

I think Manson butchered the song. He ruined a masterpiece! [Edited 10/8/07 14:49pm]

I do like the rhythm and the lyrics otherwise. Do u agree?. You don't know anyone who seems to be attracted to destructive relationships? I do. Seems like if the person they're dating isn't somehow mean to them, they're bored. Some people seem to enjoy getting used and abused.

This is one of the greatest songs of all time, in my opinion- lyrically, sonically and emotively. From its near providential origins (it's seriously a trip reading about how this song actually came to life) to its importance in their careers and its iconic video, it is permanently etched in my DNA. A top 10 song of all-time for me, always. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I love the song. I used to see the video all the time on "Night Tracks". I can still see them walking around in that pasture with that damn cow. The guy in the group had a scary look to him. Andy is a four letter word.
