I've been bumping Emperor Tomato Ketchup this year. Dots And Loops is my next purchase from them.

C'mon, the 90's were CLEARLY better than the 80's (at least, in the 90's, the synths, keyboards and electronics were used for a more cerebral, artistic approach); also, in the 90's, we didn't have so many shit acts like in the 80's (Paula Abdul and others)

Don't you mean 199Quad? cool

Mannn, Cinn, lemme tell ya, I was loving some bass/quad albums during that period. Loved it. I really need to update my bass cassettes to digital mp3 format because the 90s had a lot of good bass/quad compilations.

There was a compilation that came out in '97 I believe called ...And Then There Was Bass had some serious dance/booty/DeepSouthDance JAMS on it. It was LaFace Record's answer to the success of So So Def's Bass series. Bass for days on that album. Luke, Dana Harris "As We Lay," If U Like Pina Colada's lol. I loved that whole comp. I swear to God if I heard Southern Playas' "I Want To Ball" on a proper soundsystem I would faint. Need to scrounge for it really soon.

Also, Dis N Dat's Bumpin', The So So Def Bass All Stars series, 95 South's One Mo Gen, Rhythm & Quad Vol 166, The Puppies, Solo Luke ("Scarred" -- that is a coast-to-coast urban dance CLASSIC.), Quad City DJs, Playa Poncho's "Let It Burrn," Magic Mike, No Good But So Good, 2 Live Crew, "Hiney Hiney," Tre Blacc, L.A. Sno, Big Kenny & The Ghetto Crew, Stylz & The J.I.Z. etc. Damm, I was loving those Southern dance albums. That was It for me.

In my room in the summertime with no air conditioning dancing to these albums on a portable stereo with a shitty Equalizer. lol

Actually bass and house was the only music I listened to in the 1990s. I hated all the stuff that was on the radio but the clubs had some good music.

In the 80s, they were used to make you shake ass. In the 90s, they were used to put you to sleep.

The 90s was nothing but shitty acts. I mean, the decade was dominated by stripped down, midtempo, shit hop. What could be more shitty than that? Those boring motherfuckers made Lionel Richie's solo work sound as funky as his work in The Commodores in comparison to the shit hoppers of the 1990s with their Barbara Streisand tempo music.
