Madonna Or Isaac Hayes......Whose Cover Of "Fever" Ya Diggin' ? I know Madonna did her cover of the song on the "Erotica" album (and i heard the various remixes which weren't too bad)
and then there's Isaac Hayes Version from his "Don't Let Go" album(which i got today along with "For The sake Of Love") .....it's 70's disco funk!....YEAH BABY! so...which one you like? [Edited 10/3/07 20:15pm]

Why wasnt Madonna's "Fever" a proper A side single in the US? The A&R folks at Warner were smokin something good to have made "Bad Girl" the A side. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I never really felt the song by any artist...the only reason Im choosing Madonna's video version is because she looked sexy in silver paint (something Rhianna tried 2 copy for Umbrella) Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

That's a hard choice. I like both versions but I think I like Isaac Hayes' version a little better. Andy is a four letter word.

I may be out in left field, but if I'm correct about the song, Natalie Cole does a duet with Ray Charles and it kicks ass.
Don't like Madonna's version and I don't think I've heard Isaac's in years.

Madonna's Edit One with the 12 inch intro is the best!!!

I'm betting that Madonna picked "Bad Girl" as the single. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

I prefer Madonna's version as well "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Both versions were great but you are talking apples and oranges here. How can you compare a pop artist with a soul artist's version of a song???
The way I look at is, if you want to shake your ass, or go shopping, pop in Madonna's version.....if you want to mellow out or make love, then put in Isaac's version. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

You know, come to think of it, I think I don't actually like this song very much. Every version, even the 2 best known (the original Little Willie John version and the Peggy Lee version) are just so cheesy to me. It's a fun little ditty, but I've never been that crazy about it in any form.
PS: Little Willie John's son is a singer in Stevie Wonder's band now. And boy is his stage presence annoying. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran
