The hate directed towards Jamiroquai in America is sickening. It's not like someone is forcing them down your throat and in your earhole at every turn. Sony is has done a danm good job of keeping them off the radio and video channels. And that "he ain't nothin' but a bad Stevie Wonder imitator" bullshit the press likes to sprue at every mention of JK's name is tired. zzz Get the the fuck over it!!! finger

I'm sure Clear Channel and other companies like them have been doing a good job of keeping Jamiroquai off the air also. If jams like that were to ever catch on with the public, huge corporations that own the radio stations, video channels, and most importantly, record labels couldn't make as big a profit as they could off of something cheaply made like shit hop.

The fact that artists these days don't make anything similar to disco, is the reason I shit on them like I do. It was because of disco that I got into funk in the first place because it was the closest sounding thing to disco after it's death. After funk, there was house. After house, that was it....the end.....nothing good being made, period. Disco was my first love and actually, if you really think about it, 90% of what I've listened to since then has been something to replace it.

People say there's good new music out there. Is it something with the fast tempo, funkiness, and danceability of disco? If not, then like I've said before, there's no good new music out there these days. lol

I agree with everything you said.We NEED disco! I'm sick of all these boring, midtempo, shit hop songs that dominate the radio these days.Jamiroquai's disco songs are fast, fun and GROOVE-ORIENTED.I wish other pop/R&B artists would follow their lead and make that kinda music.

So "Synchronized" is another disco type album? I've got to get that one.

Yeah, that's what I like about their last two albums. It's like they completely erased the 1990s altogether. Oh, if it were only that easy to erase the 90s. lol

Yes,'Synchronized' is when they really got into a disco groove lol I'm sure you've heard the first single "Canned Heat",it is featured in a memorable scene from the 2005 movie 'Napoleon Dynamite'.Other songs you will like from this album...

"Planet Home"---more funk than disco....boasts a cool P-Funk-styled bassline.

"Soul Education"---another unabashed disco number

"Supersonic"---one of the few tracks that sounds modern, this is a mostly instrumental electronic dance song

"Where Do We Go From Here"---a sizzling funk workout that sounds like it's straight outta 1978!

Get this CD next, you won't be disappointed. This is the album that made me a fan.
