I didn't really listen to her last CD all that much.

What was the consensus on that? Do I just not care anymore?

You should go listen to it again. I think it's her best since Mary.

And Mary was the last one that I thought was really good.

It's her most exciting song in years, the Janet vibe is strong! Love the prominent bassline but the handclaps are quite annoying.

Ok, I figured out the keyboard riff. They sampled "Peg" from Steely Dan.

It took me a couple of listens, but I think I got it.

I agree.

Really? I liked a few tracks off the last one, but the last couple haven't really had much staying power with me.

I'm loving this track, ESPECIALLY the handclaps.

some life to it. Nevertheless she won't get my money. I have never bought a mary j. blige cd and i do not see any reason to now.

Is this Jerkins? Has his sound, but not that stupid "Darkchild" tag. If it is, it's the best production he's done in years. This track so makes me wish there was still a Body and Soul party in NYC.

I thought the remake of "One" was pretty atrocious.

I really didn't listen to it, either....I didn't even listen to the greatest hits....excuse me, "collection" she put out which I guess was a year ago (with the last full CD being two years ago). Both are collecting dust. Damn, Mary

haha her spoken intro to me sounds like she's going to start telling us about

the benefits of drinking milk or something

lol

The intro reminded me of "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough":

"The force, it makes me wanna, it makes me wanna... OOH!"
"This joint right here, this joint right here, it makes me wanna... OOH!"

Nothing has changed in the last 28 years. lol biggrin

I was thinking the same thing, lol. Though Mary's yell was really awkward, in a Howard Dean kind of way... smile

The beginning reminds me of MJ's "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" as well. Defenitely sounds OTW influenced. Nice song though, I like it.

This song got Janet Jackson's style written ALL over, it would've been a good comeback song for her.

Meh, I don't see it. 'Enjoy' would of been a much better first single. All and all, Damita Jo was so much better than not only 20 YO, but All For You too. Too bad it had to be released in 2004, or a certain something that happened in 2004 got in the way.
