'Rain' - Funk band - any info anyone?

Does anyone have any info about the band Rain, who played a few after shows with the NPG horns. With a name like 'Rain' it is impossible to Google and a search on the Prince.org site gets you 1000 listings to do with Purple Rain!! I am particularly interested in the female singer who joined last night's aftershow. Thanks - Moontrane
