Yes, she has.

Why is it always the Madonna fans that have the problem? lol

No, it's Janet fans who seem 2 think she's huge outside the US.

Don't get me wrong..I really like her.

But It's just not true. by 1995 she had
sold 48 million albums worldwide..

Her last 3 albums combined, sold less than 1.5m copies
in Europe...

Where does the 50 million come from? India? China?

I'm not going to debate whether or not she's huge outside the US. She certainly isn't anymore. But she was for quite some time. Madonna has sold more - you "win".

She certainly emerged out of the huge shadows of her older brother, and did quite well for herself. Madonna never had to deal with having Michael Jackson as her older brother.

however she's always had people declaring her carear being over.

i believe she was offically declared over in 85.

That is just fanatics speculating about Thriller sales.

Whether or not this new album is good, it will sell at least one million. If Janet Jackson could do it with Damita Jo and 20 YO, Michael Jackson can do it.

Michael will easily sell a million in the US, probably 10 million worldwide. He is one of the few remaining stars that possesses a truly global fanbase.

I don't see him selling 10 milion worldwide. His "star" has fallen.

Yeah, but that was 6 years ago and before that last scandal. That's a lot of wishful thinking at this point.

Well, that's fine and dandy for MJ fans, I guess. But this wasn't a comparison, it was just about what's happened to him since his last album.

Check out his record sales since the 2003 accusation and the 2005 trial.

Again if Janet Jackson could sell at least one million copies of Damita Jo and 20 YO, Michael Jackson can sell another one million.

Yeah, but it's also out of sight, out of mind. He hasn't been putting anything out over the last half-decade and a lot of those fans have either moved on, had enough, or simply grew up.

Because MJ has basically become tabloid fodder and the butt of a many jokes now. He's looked upon as being "this weird dude" rather than "the king of pop".
