The worst duet

- Paul Mac Cartney and Stevie Wonder: "Ebony & Ivory" (I've just heard on this one recently, the lyrics are a cliché contest barf ) or
- Paul Mac Cartney and Michael Jackson: "Say, Say, Say" bored (this one is funny when you think of what will become of their future relations)
And the winner is...

Actually,I like both of the duets that MJ did with Paul McCartney.I think the weakest track on 'Thriller' is the silly title track ("there ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes, girl"???).

Some others choices for me:
- any duet involving the Elton John of these las 20 years (so, not "Don't go breaking my heart"), or Tom Jones
- the Robbie Williams / Kidman nonsense barf (even if I respect Nicole for "The Others"), I believe that Willams has made another crappy one with KMinogue...,
- one of the countless duets of Celine Dion ( with Streisand or R-Kelly or...),
- the terribles wanna-be-pop grotesques duets of Pavarotti

That's Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson.

I like every duet I've ever heard by Roberta and Donny Hathaway.

To tell you the truth I don't own anything by Elton anymore either. Right now there are much more important things for me to replace in my music collection, but I like some of his '70s music.

barf Mary J. Blige & Shakira barf When they did Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield" on that DIVAS Las Vegas show...I'm sure a lot of the audience members thought they were in a battlefield!!! One or the other should of sang it. Or found voices that complimented eachother.

ROTFLMAO smile smile smile smile

In all honesty though,I don't consider Rick James or George Clinton to be great singers. They're "funksters" so it really doesn't matter, except when they attempt to do a "serious" ballad (although Rick sounds pretty decent on "Ebony Eyes").

lol
Funny how you're tossing GC into the argument when we're talking about duets. That's supposed to hurt my feelings? I know Clinton's voice is hoarse. You ain't telling me nothing new. When have you heard GEo. Clinton sing a "give up the panties" ballad like Rick James? ANSWER NEVER. shrug Everybody with half a brain knows "Holly" was a joke played on that piano bar rotuine. GEEZ!

I ain't really into choosing one artists' music over another because an imagined fanboy competition. I like whomever I like because I do. Though, given a choice, as I was recently, of paying to see Rick James or George Clinton's band I chose PFUNK and really only went out of my way once to see Rick James (tix were free). I don't dig listening to his tortured, strained singing on ballads. Surely you don't place Rick in the mix with PRysock and Wilson? shocked

James, like GC, is best at singing funk ditties cuz he just can't sing those ballads. Now there are plenty of bros in PFUNK who can sing those songs like Paul Hill, Garry Shider, Steve Boyd, Lige Curry as well as a few outstanding female singers too!
