ok... listen up! you need this album!

if you are even remotely a fan of rock and roll, and i dont mean this modern bullshit where its kids imitating the real deal, you need to go out, first thing tomorrow and buy one of the most underrated albums of all time, "exile on main street" by the rolling motherfucking stones. even if you don't like the stones. its one of the most musically versatile albums ever made- jumping from fast paced rock songs to slow gospel-type numbers and not even breakin stride. just listen to the jaw-dropping brilliance that is "shine a light" and "let it loose", and then switch over and hear "rocks off", "happy", and "turd on the run". its impossible not to love this album. seriously.

sure, "sgt. pepper's" was a good album for stupid acid-using hippies, but if you want real, honest-to-god, rock and fucking roll, get yourself "exile". you'll be glad you did.
now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

the reason for the comparison is twofold:
a large group of the population considers "sgt. pepper's" to be the beatles best album, let alone the best "rock and roll" album of all time. i made the comparison to show them all how wrong they are.

in all honesty, comparing the beatles and stones is quite the stupid thing to do in the first place. the beatles were pop, the stones were rock.

it's just frustrating to see all these "best albums of all time" articles in magazines and whatnot, and see (in the pathetic-ass rolling stone's case) 4 or 5 beatles albums in the top 10 (proving once and for all that rolling stone's readers know absolutely NOTHING about music), with the stones getting only to the late 20's. if you were talking about good music, the stones are FAR ahead of the beatles? what did the beatles do to change music? add a fucking sitar? wow. the beatles tried to make indian music using a sitar. the stones tried to make ROCK music with a sitar- and it turned out quite a bit better.

buy "exile". even if there's no sitars.

Agreed..St pepper is for candy asses. Exile is a fine beast. I actually really like the album Black And Blue by the stones, its really funky...has their most underrated song on it too ..Crazy Mama.

Oh My God Exhile On Main Street is the best Freaking Stones album. I Love that album the songs are Awesome.Mick and Keith were at their Absolute Best. And well Mick was married to his other part Bianca so what could you expect he was just married and Delirious. Mick wrote his best music when he was with Bianca you know. And then Keith was with Anita Pallenberg so you Know everybody was happy all around. That's a Classic album that anybody who likes The Glimmer Twins Must buy!
